Transport from the airport

Wrocław Copernicus Airport (IATA: WRO), with its modern terminal opened in 2012, is located 10 kilometers from the historical city center. Similarly to other regional airports in Poland, Copernicus has grown significantly over last years and continues to expand its services for international business travelers and tourists. Wrocław Airport connects the city with major European transfer hubs (Frankfurt, Munich, Warsaw, Copenhagen) and with many other places in whole Europe.

By bus

Bus No. 106 goes to/from the Central Bus and Railway Station every day every 20 minutes. The entire journey takes approximately 40 minutes (depending on the traffic). Night bus line No. 206, operates on the same route through the Airport.

Shuttle bus “WRO AIRPORT EXPRESS”

A shuttle bus operates on the route Airport - City Centre (Plac Dominikański) – Dworzec Wrocław (Central Bus and Railway Station). A ticket will cost PLN 10 (to be paid directly to the driver by cash or by card). The journey will take about 30 minutes (departure time depending on the aircrafts’ arrivals).

*Approximate charges: Airport – Hotel Mercure (Dominikański Square): 55-65 PLN day rate. Prices may slightly vary depending on traffic difficulties (jams, detours, etc.) Night rate according to taximeter.

Public transportation

There are over 60 day bus lines and a dozen or so night bus lines in Wrocław. There are also over 20 tram lines. Day buses and trams travel on working days usually from 5.00 to 23.00 and on weekends and (bank) holidays from 6.00 to 22.00. Night buses travel from 23.30 to 5.00.

To travel by municipal transport, you need a single-ride or season ticket, which you may buy at marked points or from ticket vending machines. They are located near stops and in MPK vehicles, where you can pay with credit cards only (including proximity cards).

You need to validate your single-ride or season ticket immediately after boarding a tram or bus (including tickets purchased in the vehicle).

Internet access

WiFi Internet access will be available at the congress venue.

Currency exchange

At the Wrocław Airport you can find currency exchanges offices located at the Passenger Terminal. Polish currency is Złoty, abbreviation PLN. Exchange rate (18.12.17):

Badges

Participants are requested to wear their badge while the Congress takes place.

Smoking

Smoking is allowed only in designated areas.

Registration

Registration Desk will be located at the conference venue in the ground floor, next to the main entrance. Open hours will be announced.

Parking space around the venue

Please note that the Venue is located in the Old Town so the parking space is limited. Parking spaces around the Venue need to be paid.

Catering

Permanent coffee breaks and lunch boxes will be served to the participants in designated spaces.

Climate
